The New Jersey Clean Communities Council (NJCCC), in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), is pleased to announce the launch of a new video PSA contest. Our 2022 theme is entitled “Reduce Single-Use” and is meant to encourage understanding of NJ’s new single-use plastics law. This contest challenges middle and high school students throughout NJ to create an original 60-second public service announcement (PSA) video, in English or in Spanish, to promote awareness of how single-use plastics contribute to litter and marine debris, harm the environment, or negatively impact marine wildlife. Students can focus on plastic bags, polystyrene, or straws.
