Recycle Coach Partners with NJCCC on Statewide Outreach

Recycle Coach is launching a statewide outreach campaign with NJCCC. Focused on litter abatement education, this campaign is designed to empower more than 2 million residents in New Jersey through the Recycle Coach App.

Over the next 12 months, residents will have access to videos, interactive lessons, articles, and quizzes. The campaign culminates in pledges relating to waste reduction, litter prevention and sustainable decision making.

When residents open the app to check their waste and recycling information, they’ll now experience a hyper-relevant educational journey that promotes a litter-free New Jersey.

Residents will also be able to access the same interactive litter awareness content on NJclean.org, along with extra downloadable content, such as the NJCCC Kids Activity Booklet and a 2024 printable calendar.

In addition to this new content, Recycle Coach has worked closely with NJCCC to create packages that can be added to the mobile app at the municipal or county level.

Clean Communities Coordinators can sign up for the Education Package to improve awareness, and/or the Communications Package to empower residents to get involved in upcoming events:

Communications Package. Coordinators can add clean-up events directly to the calendar in the Recycle Coach App, facilitate event sign-ups, and schedule enhanced notifications to remind residents of upcoming events.

Education Package. It features a four-part animated video series about litter reduction. Residents will learn about various topics through monthly lessons about litter. Once they’ve proved their know-how, residents will be awarded with a special digital proficiency badge.

Recycle Coach is pleased to offer these comprehensive programs to drive awareness and help residents understand the environmental impact the litter causes. Working together, we can continue to set and achieve impressive sustainability and environmental goals in New Jersey.
