Message from JoAnn Gemenden, NJCCC Executive Director
Autumn is a time of transition. The days grow shorter; the nights grow longer.
While I am admittedly a lover of all things summer – I do enjoy the best that fall in NJ has to offer. The changing of the leaves, football season, preparation for the holidays and, of course, the annual NJ League of Municipalities (NJLM) conference.
The conference signifies a time of celebration, networking, camaraderie and CEUs. Please make sure you join the annual NJ Clean Communities session, set for Tuesday, November 14 at 2 pm in Room 401 of the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh and Belleville Mayor Michael Melham are sure to lead another exciting panel that always inspires us to do better.
And a special thank you to our 2023 session sponsor, Wakefern.
Also, don’t forget to stop by the NJCCC booth (#1839) on the exhibition floor to enter our raffle, get some program inspiration or just to say “hi.”
NJCCC is set to launch new litter-related public service announcements in November. As you tune into your favorite NJ radio station, I hope you hear our new inspiring messages to make NJ Litter Free.
No matter what time of year, the change of seasons is a reminder of the beauty and diversity of nature in the Garden State. It is a time to appreciate the world around us and to be grateful for all the work we do collectively to make the environment a better place.
